Title: Recent Research Activities: Focusing on Time Delay Systems and Applications

By Prof. Ju H. Park

Time: 16 o'clock, April 20, 2019

Address: SX407

In this talk, the research status of the laboratory “Advanced Nonlinear Dynamics and Control” of Yeungnam University, Republic of Korea is first addressed. Second, recent hottest topics studied in the laboratory in recent years are briefly introduced. Next, among these topics, the results of the stability problem of time delay systems performed in recent years will be highlighted. Finally, some extended studies to complex networks and neural networks are addressed as an application of time delay systems.

Prof. Ju H. Park’s Biography

Ju H. Park received the Ph.D. degree in electronics and electrical engineering from the Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang, South Korea, in 1997.

He joined Yeungnam University, Kyongsan, South Korea, in 2000, where he is currently the Chuma Chair Professor. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Visiting Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA.

His current research interests include time-delay systems, neural/complex networks, fuzzy systems, multi-agent systems, and chaotic systems. He has published a number of papers in these areas.

Dr. Park is a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST).
